HOW TO MAKE OTI FONIO FLOUR WAFFLES

INGREDIENTS/MATERIALS

  • 1 cup OTI Gluten-Free Fonio Flour

  • 1/2 cup Corn starch

  • 3 tbsp. of OTI Organic Honey

  • 1 tbsps. baking powder

  • 2 tbsps. brown sugar

  • 1/8 tsp salt

  • 1/2 tsp vanilla

  • 1 ½ cup milk (preferably non-dairy milk)

  • 1/3 cup olive or avocado oil

  • 3 eggs

  • A reasonable amount of butter

  • 2 medium-sized mixing bowl, whisk or mixer, waffle maker, frying pan, teaspoon, tablespoon

METHOD

  1. In the mixing bowl, pour the required quantities of OTI Gluten-Free Fonio Flour, Corn Starch, baking powder, sugar, and salt. Stir them and ensure that they are completely mixed.

  2. In the other mixing bowl, whisk together the specific quantities of eggs, honey, milk, vanilla, and your preferred choice of oil (avocado or olive oil).

  3. Pour the whisked mixture into the dry mixture and stir until smooth.

  4. Bake your waffles according to the directions on your waffle maker

  5. Serve hot. Garnished and sumptuous Fonio waffles with your favorite syrup and/or fruits.

Note:

This recipe will make 10 waffles if all the measurements are the same.
